When we feel burned out, exhausted and tired, it’s completely normal to feel sad, angry or even resentful. During those times, you either have to make a change or take a rest – sometimes you have to do both.
I personally think that both a change and rest have the same benefits, they can be both as good as one another and they help you reshape yourself, get new experiences and meet new people depending on your circumstance.
In today’s post, I wanted to share with you some ways on figuring out if you need a change or rest in your life. These are the things that have helped me but you can interpret them in your own ways to find out which one you truly need. Without further ado, let’s jump into the post!

DO YOU FEEL UNHAPPY?
When you need a break from everything, you would still be able to experience the small joys in your life up to a certain degree but for the majority of them, you will yearn and long to feel & experience those joys without any interruptions. On the other hand, when you need a change you would usually not be able to experience or even long for those joys because everything seems pointless and useless.

DO YOU FEEL UNFULFILLED?
Another thing to consider is fulfilment which can be quite tricky if you don’t know if you really feel fulfilled in the first place. If you feel fulfilled but lost & tired then a break would help clear your mind. However, if you don’t feel fulfilled to begin with then it doesn’t matter how many breaks you take consistently you will only be feeling tired regularly unless there is a change of scenery.

WHICH ONE DO YOU YEARN FOR?
Last but not least, follow and trust your gut instinct. Do you yearn to take a break from everything and just rest? Or do you yearn to make a change in your life and start over again? I personally think there is no right or wrong answer in this instance, at the end of the day you have to listen to your mind & body, if you don’t then the only person who would be impacted by the consequences is you.
