WORRYING IS NORMAL

Like any other emotions, worrying is completely normal as well. It’s totally normal to worry and fear the unknown because at the end of the day, you don’t know how it’s going to impact you or your life and what types of changes it’s going to bring.

I wouldn’t say to suppress or ignore this emotion because when you try to repress it, the intensity of this emotion will increase and nothing good will come out of it afterwards. Instead, sit on this emotion and find a way to channel it into something calming. For instance, share your worries with a loved one, write them down on a journal, focus on a hobby when you start worrying, etc.

BEING GENTLE WITH YOURSELF

I think it’s important that you give yourself grace during this moment, you shouldn’t feel guilty for the emotions you are feeling. Who isn’t scared of the unknown? Who isn’t stressed about the future? Even the people who crave for changes don’t like when they are faced with an unexpected change in their lives so you shouldn’t feel bad for feeling these completely normal & natural emotions.

TAKE EACH DAY AS IT COMES

Last but not least, take each day as it is. Rest when you need it and try to enjoy the moment you are currently living in right now. I know it’s a phrase that has been overused right now but you should really focus and live in the present instead of over-worrying and overthinking about the future.

The things you do today might have an impact tomorrow but the brutal truth is no matter how much you do or what you do, you cannot control the future so there is really no point in stressing yourself even more when you actually don’t even know what’s going to happen. Things and situations might remain the same or not but at least, you would have enjoyed and have had some joys if you live in the present.
