One thing is clear: dog owners need to invest a lot of money and, above all, time in their pet. To raise a dog is accompanied by considerable restrictions. Suddenly, after work, you no longer sit comfortably on the sofa and watch TV, but make your rounds with your four-legged friend without caring if it is raining or snowing. However, there are many advantages to own a dog. If you want to know what they are, read on.
ARE DOG OWNERS HAPPIER?
That’s a question that most dog owners would not hesitate to answer with “yes”. But it is not just a guess, it is also scientifically confirmed. Dog owners are happier and less neurotic, according to studies by researchers at Manhattan New York College.
Also, to get the self-healing powers going, holding a dog is beneficial. To activate the healing process, hug your dog twice and inhale its smell. Repeat this three times a day and you will notice how you feel better.
WHAT HEALTH PROBLEMS CAN MY DOG HELP ME WITH?
Owning a dogs helps with anxiety and mental health problems. It is not without reason that therapy dogs are now frequently used in nursing homes and also child and youth welfare services. The trusting and joyful behaviour of dogs is contagious, reduces stress and anxiety, and has a calming effect on people. Even the sensation of pain can be lowered just by the mere presence of a dog.
POSITIVE EFFECTS ON HEART HEALTH
As the presence of a pet relaxes us and reduces stress, it also lowers our blood pressure. Of course, this also has a positive effect on our heart in the long run. In addition, dog owners usually have a lot of exercise in the fresh air, which in turn leads to improved health.
AN IMPROVED IMMUNE SYSTEM
The companionship and behaviour of a pet, which is characterised as the love to the owner, increases the amount of immune fluid proteins and T cells in the blood, causing the immune system to improve and diseases to be well protected from the body. For example, scientists have found that even children living with dogs in the home are less ill. They have, according to studies, a 30 percent lower risk of respiratory infections.
That love can do a lot to help you get well and stay healthy. The love of a dog is unconditional and can therefore cause a series of positive mental and physical processes in the owner. Thus it is clear: dog owners live happier and healthier. If you are a dog owner, make sure to check The Dog Central blog for training tips & tricks!

I have my Yorkie for 6 years now,she is my everything. 💜💜💜💜💜
We had our little Katie for almost 9 years. We got her as a rescue when she was about 6. She died of bladder cancer last Feb. We miss her every day. But, she made our lives so much better by being of them.❤️
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that ❤️ Sending you lots of love xx
Thanks. There isn’t a day that does by, that we don’t think about her.
I’m pretty sure she’s running around happily in dog heaven ❤️
Yes, I’m sure she is. She’ll be disappointed if there, squirrels are her friends. She barked forever, when she saw them out our front window. lol
Therapy dogs are now widely used in schools and universities to help relive student and staff stress. Dogs are wonderful.
I wished they had one when I was in school or university 😭 Totally agree with you x
You really have amazing contents. I just dropped a fresh article on my blog about basics of photography, it would be helpful if you can share them to your friends and colleagues who are getting started with photography, and also leave an opinion in the comment section what you think about my new post, thank you. Dogs are a blessing 😊
I didn’t need any more reasons to be honest 🙈
Hahah thanks for reading lovely! ❤️
I agree. That’s why we have 7 of them in the house. ❤
Aww I’m so jealous hahah! 😂❤️
Our dogs are great examples for us. They’re loyal and eternally optimistic. My nearly 16-year-old black lab Mia has been an absolute joy in our lives.
Aww I’m so happy to hear that! 💗
My Bear has my heart and is the sweetest. Can confirm that he makes life so much better.
Dogs are really kool, but I don’t think I’m comfortable enough with them to acc get one for myself! Plus, I’m enough work as it is already lol
Hahah that’s the same thing with me too! 😂
I’m glad we can relate lol
I was never really a dog person until my Mum got hers, but she has 100% converted me. Even though she’s not my dog the love I feel for her is unreal and seeing her excitedly run up to greet me every time I visit is just the best feeling in the world. She never fails to cheer me up and if my husband would allow I would definitely be getting a pooch myself!
Aww that’s so sweet! ❤️
I love dogs. Too bad! My parents does not allow me to have one.
But I,m sure when I will go back to my old school I will have one
Aww that’s a shame! But you can definitely get one in the future 🤞🏼
Love the post, thanks for vouching for us dogs
Hahah thank you! ❤️
For many people, a dog is a best friend. You can always rely on your dog to be there for you in hard times. They will literally lick the tears from your face if you are crying. A dog will not judge you for the decisions you make, will never feel jealous towards you for the things that you have. They just want you to love them. Although for humans the world might be a big place, for a dog its much smaller and you are the most important thing to them. You and their home are their world.
That’s absolutely true 💗
I lost my first dog last year at the age of 11. He had liver and kidney failure. We have found our second dog who is currently 5 weeks old. We cant wait to bring her home. Dogs are Love
Oh I’m so sorry to hear that ❤️ I’m so happy you found your second dog! I completely agree with you x
I’ve been around dogs pretty much my whole 24 years of existence and can’t imagine it any other way! Being old enough to finally be the sole owner of my York-shih mix was the happiest day ever. One year in and still learning so much. I loved this blog post 🙂
Thank you! ❤️
