3 blogging mottos - new lune

3 Blogging Mottos.

Whether you are blogging as a hobby or as a business, it’s important to remind yourself that there is much more to blogging than what you see on the surface. Your blogging journey won’t be easy whether you expect something or not out of your blog.

But that’s what makes this journey even more exciting and worthy! You will definitely go through some ups & downs in your journey which is something we all go through. However, you have to remind yourself certain things if you don’t want to get discouraged or enjoy your blogging journey as it is.

In today’s post, I wanted to share with you 3 blogging mottos you need to remember in your journey. I do have way more mottos but this post will be way too long so I cut it to 3! As always, if you are interested – keep on reading!

EVERY BLOGGING MISTAKE HAPPENS FOR A REASON

Everyone made a blogging mistake at some point in their journey whether it’s not utilising a platform, not implementing the right strategy, not following a tip, etc. It’s completely normal and you shouldn’t take that against you. Take that as a learning opportunity! There is no point regretting about the past.

Obviously, there is a huge difference between a mistake and sin, and the same thing applies in the blogging world as well. I wouldn’t really consider stealing, copying, plagiarising another blogger’s content as mistake but as long as you are able to own it and rectify it then you still have a chance to become a blogger.

EXPECT NOTHING FROM YOUR BLOG AND YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED

Sometimes, it’s our expectations that disappoint us and not our blogs. There is obviously nothing wrong with having goals and dreams but don’t expect them to achieve them quickly or reach those goals within a small or specific amount of time. When you don’t have any big expectations from your blog, it will make your small milestones seem big and you won’t be discouraged as well.

DO WHAT YOU LOVE, NOT WHAT YOU THINK YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO

This is something I’ve mentioned multiple times on my blog and that is to do what you love when it comes to your blog. Write the content you want, use the social media platform you want, follow the blogging tip you want, etc. There is no right or wrong way to blogging.

All the blogging tips and advice that are provided to you are there to help and guide you. But you have to remember that every blog is different and unique in their own ways. Don’t change your blog or your content because you want to follow another blogger’s footstep to achieve their growth. Do it because that’s what you are passionate about and want to do it otherwise blogging will become a chore.

  1. When things are ordinarily beautiful and excellent, then that makes “ordinary” a problematical concept! 😀

I want to learn more about mottos … because when I become somewhat knowlegable about them, I will be better able to share what I know @ mottos.name — doncha think?

    🙂 Norbert

  2. Enjoyed this read with excellent points. I especially liked: “Sometimes, it’s our expectations that disappoint us and not our blogs.”
An aha moment for me. Thanks for sharing. Valuable. 👏

  3. I love the section about expecting nothing–a few years ago I started a blog and I expected so much from it…it did not work out. About one year ago, I started my current blog and decided to have fun and expect nothing and it has been great!

  4. Great mottos; thanks for sharing. Your post has helped me to continue blogging. I’ve had disconnected for quite a while and it’s given me encouragement. All the best…

  5. Great advice! I do agree with all of these mottos/advice. Back when I started blogging, I used to be so conscious of what I put up there. But over time, I realized that I should just enjoy doing this. This isn’t my source of income, although I earned from it now and then, so I make it a point not to stress myself out overthinking others’ thoughts about my content. At this point, I focused more on specific subjects to meet or interact with more people/bloggers with the same interests, and I am just enjoying this journey.

  6. Great Post! You always come through with an encouraging word. Just when I need it. Hump day is here—the week’s almost gone! Have a great rest of your week—Blessings and Peace!
