3 Ways To Turn Your Blog Into A Business.

I think most bloggers’ dream at some point is to earn money through their blog which is something. It’s not necessarily a dream that every blogger has or should have but wishing or being able to make money from something that you are passionate about isn’t something bad, in contrary it’s something you should be proud of because not everyone gets to do that.

With that said, there are so many things you could do to turn your blog into a full-time job and that’s what I wanted to talk about in today’s post. I wanted to share with you some ways on how to not only turn your blog into a part-time/full-time job but also on how to make it into a sustainable business. Without further ado, let’s jump into the post!

FINDING WAYS TO MONETISE YOUR BLOG

The first step which you might have already guessed is to monetise your website. There are so many methods of monetisation available, you simply have to find & select which one(s) you would like to implement on your blog and which one you would like to focus on more. You can of course implement all the methods of monetisation possible but it’s not something practical nor sustainable in the long run. Instead, focusing on at least 5 streams of income will help you generate a sustainable & significant amount of money.

HAVING HELP TO MANAGE YOUR TASKS

Something that not a lot of bloggers talk or mention is the fact that you need help in order to run your blog as a business. You can obviously run it by yourself but when it turns into a business, there will be many roles for you to fill in and it will be easier for you to manage & run your website if you have a helping hand.

There are many businesses that use a virtual receptionist or assistant to help them manage certain tasks on a daily or regular basis which doesn’t only save time but it also is more efficient because you get to prioritise your time in an effective manner and can focus on other more important tasks such as creating and incorporating other strategies to grow & monetise your website.

HAVING A BACKUP PLAN READY

Last but not least, one of the effective ways to turn your blog into to a business is to have a backup plan. This might be confusing but you have to understand that in order for you to run a sustainable business, you need to have plenty of backup plans ready before you even turn your blog into a business. You can’t rely on a single source of income/method of monetisation to create or run a business.

Having a backup plan doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to give up on the idea of turning your blog into a business as soon as your first plan doesn’t work out, it simply means that you have some plans ready to implement in case if your first source of income doesn’t work out, for instance it could be another form of monetisation or a completely new blog with another niche.

  1. I’m one of the lucky ones that has a successful career in writing (journalism and writing books) with multiple incomes.
My blog is just for fun, introspective, and a diary of sorts.
The really cool thing is the majority of my stats are not from other bloggers, but from readers all over the world. They also find very old blogs I wrote, back in 2012.
It’s great to see stuff like that when I review my stats each morning.

  2. I’ve thought about doing this. I’ve got so many things going right now. My custom design work is dragging down my schedule. I take on that work during slow periods. I get a regular job. Then catalog sales pick up, and suddenly I run out of time. I don’t think I’m the greatest at business, even though I’ve been running them for thirty years.
