MONETISE YOUR BLOG

The first technique is to monetise your blog. If you don’t already have a blog, I would highly recommend to start one! Technically, you wouldn’t be able to earn money as soon as you create your blog because it requires a few different elements in order for you to monetise your blog for instance your DA score, number of views per month, number of social media followers, etc. which all of those things take time to build up.

However, if you work consistently you could be making as much as a part-time job! There are so many streams of income in terms of blogging for example sponsored posts, affiliate links, ads, etc. Note that you don’t even need to have thousands and thousands of followers in order to monetise your blog.

If you have a DA over 20 and a great number of monthly page views, you should definitely try to monetise your blog. In addition, you can monetise your social media platforms if you have at least over 5k followers.

RENT YOUR PROPERTY

Another great way to increase your income is by renting your property. If you own a house or apartment, you can use an Airbnb management service to rent your home as a vacation rental, they will take care of everything for you from A to Z. They will literally manage the entire process for you!  They will set up the listing for your property, take professional pictures of your home, make sure your house/apartment is safe and in good condition but most importantly they will make sure that the guests are happy.

They even provide premium toiletries for every guest which is so cool! If you own a property, you should definitely take advantage of it! Especially if your home is located in a heavily trafficked tourist destination like Cannes. Many tourists and travellers are always hunting for a short-term (or long-term) place to stay that’s the reason why so many people use a vacation rental management service to rent their property, it’s a great way to earn a significant amount of money while being at the comfort of your own home.

SELL PRODUCTS

You can obviously sell your old products or things (that are in good condition) that you don’t need anymore to make a couple of bucks on the side but generally, that won’t bring you a regular income every single month. On the other hand, you can sell products created by you! For example artwork, custom-made accessories or even digital products or services depending on your skills. If you use effective strategies to promote your products, you will definitely be able to turn your hobby into a business.

DO FREELANCE WORK

Take advantage of the skills you already have! There are so many websites available such as Upwork, People Per Hour, etc. where you will find paid opportunities. Companies will post projects on those websites and you will need to apply and “bid” those projects in order to get &work on those projects.

The reason why you have to bid in the first place is because those companies not only want to find the best candidate but they want to find someone who could offer them the best work for an affordable rate.

One of the disadvantages of those websites is many people will lower their rate which is obviously not good in terms of value but they will be able to get a lot of projects so take that into consideration when applying.

GET A SECOND JOB

Last but not least, try to get a second job. Some supermarkets or high-street stores require additional sales assistants during the weekends(and around the holiday times). If you are free during the weekends, it’s a great way to earn extra money every month. If you are really good at a subject, you could even offer people or in this case students. You can charge up to £10 per hour depending on your experience and skills. Other jobs include babysitting children or pets which are all flexible depending on your main job.

  1. Great tips! I think with everything going on at the moment a little extra cash definitely wouldn’t be a bad idea! I do online surveys and use cashback sites as well to get a little extra – it’s not loads of money, but it’s just enough for a little extra treat now and again or a bit of money off your shopping 🙂 x
