We often want to get over a bad day to the point we hope it didn’t happen or even exist in the very first place which is impractical but that doesn’t mean we don’t wish for it. In today’s post, I wanted to share with you some things I do to forget my bad days. Without further ado, let’s jump into the post!

CHANGE OF ENVIRONMENT
The best way to forget something is a change of scenery. It might not help you forget your bad day instantly but staying in the same environment will not help it either. The more time passes, the easier your emotions will fluctuate and you will start noticing a difference. For instance, if something had happened at home then go outside for a couple of hours whether it’s to take a walk in the park or to browse through products in a store or shopping centre. This will help change and distract your mind from that specific day.

TAKING IT ALL OUT
I don’t think there is anything better than letting all your emotions out no matter how ugly it gets. It’s only when you retain those emotions and let them simmer inside that it gets overwhelming and unhealthy. The worse case scenario in that situation is you letting out those emotions to the wrong person or in the wrong situation, not only could it lead to miscommunication but also hurt feelings which we ultimately don’t want that happening.

LOOKING AT THE BIGGER PICTURE
A bad day doesn’t equate to a (potential) bad future. Everyone has bad days, some can be worst than others but everyone has them. This might be a difficult period in your life right now but a week later, a month later or even a year later, this moment in your life might not seem as important or significant as it is right now. If you have the opportunity to prevent this bad day from happening or repeating again then do find a way for it but if you don’t have that opportunity, just know that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Even if it might not seem that way now, one day you will be able to smile without remembering this day.

Thank you so much! 😊 There is nothing better than a good night sleep, that’s the reason why I always need to have at least 6 to 7 hours of sleep otherwise I can’t function properly.
