Burnouts in general aren’t something pleasant to experience but to have to them consecutively without a break will literally drain all your energy from your body. This isn’t something that happens quite often but it’s not impossible either especially if you’ve been feeling stressed out and overwhelmed for a very long time without taking any healthy breaks.
In today’s post, I wanted to share with you some ways on how to deal with repeated burnouts if it’s something you are struggling with. Without further ado, let’s jump into the post!

FINDING THE SOURCE
In this case, the first & best step would be to find out the source of your burnouts. Not only will you be able to find a solution that is apt for the issue in question but it will also ensure that something like this won’t occur ever again. When it comes to repeated burnouts, the source might not always be straightforward, sometimes it can be a combination or pile up of multiple different things so it’s always best to take a step back and look at everything from a boarder perspective before pointing/deciding anything.

BEING MINDFUL OF YOUR BODY
It’s very important that you are mindful of your body when dealing with a lot of strong emotions especially in times like this. I can’t stress enough how important it is that you listen to your body because that’s the only thing that will help you move past this burnout. If you need to rest, do it. If you want to take a break from everything, take one unapologetically. Your mind is very much in tune with your physical body as they are all interconnected, if you feel tired emotionally – it will reflect on you physically as well.

PRIORITISING YOURSELF
If there is something I learnt is the fact that you get burnouts because you haven’t prioritised yourself enough, at least that’s what I think from my personal experience. If you had then you wouldn’t be going through a burnout, let alone multiple burnouts consecutively. In addition, people who do prioritise themselves do go through burnouts so at the end, it’s not really a question of what you do but of how often you do it.
Like how there is a routine for everything in life, it’s essential to have a self-care routine whether it’s on a daily or weekly basis which is completely up to yourself but having that set of tasks implemented into your life will not only bring you joy & peace but it will also allow you to relax & forget all your stress & worries. It’s worth mentioning that you should do something that makes you happy and relaxed instead of doing something that others do because at the end of the day, you are your own person and what works for you might not work for another and vice versa.

I quit my job, because of a burnout. I had only one and it was awful. I can’t imagine having more than one!
I’m so sorry to hear that, there is a misconception that burnouts are unpleasant or they are similar to fatigue/tiredness but they are much more serious. Hope you feel a lot better now! Thank you so much for reading ☺️
I have had many burnouts for different reasons. But my worst has been when I took on the deputyship role for my mum’s finances.
After waiting over a year to be released, I am finally free of it. A professional deputy has been put in my place. So my burnouts should not be as before, or not at all now.
I’m really sorry to hear that and I’m glad that you found a solution that enabled you to ease your workload while at the same time help your mum. Hopefully, there won’t be any burnout at all from now on 🤞🏼 thank you so much for reading ❤️
Thank you. By the time being relieved from it, it was 2 years doing the deputyship. I am glad to see the back of it. Hopefully now, no more burnouts. But I will have to continue listening to my own body and rest when feeling fatigued.

I’ve had a few burnouts, and each time, the things you mentioned were the root cause – in particular, body/health.
Thank you for posting this! It’s kinked me directly to your other posts, which are relatable. I’ll refer back to it when I feel like I am close to reaching that level again
My pleasure! Thank you so much for reading 😊
I agree. It’s imperative to figure out the source of the burnout before you can move forward or it’ll keep surfacing. Good post!
Thank you so much! ☺️
I think the biggest factor for most is learning how to be aware of our bodies, listening to what they are trying to tell us. That one element alone was a game changer for me.
