WATCHING SOMETHING RELAXING

One of the best ways to keep your mind at peace is to do something relaxing, in this case I watch something that is relaxing. For some, it might be watching their favourite movie or TV show whereas for others, it might be watching YouTube videos. You can of course do something relaxing but watching it would only require a minimum effort from your part which is what we want to do in this instance.

I personally like to watch YouTube videos or shall I say embroidery videos. It’s something I find very relaxing and satisfying to watch. I used to be into embroidery when I was in primary school but I never got the chance to explore or look into it further which is something I am sad about but watching these videos is very nostalgic and gives me a profound sense of calmness.

FOCUSING ON A HOBBY YOU ENJOY

I would say that focusing on a hobby you enjoy wouldn’t only give you happiness but also peace. You have to do and focus on a hobby that you personally like to do as opposed to somebody else’s. I would say that I have a few hobbies that I enjoy but reading books has to be my favourite (alongside blogging). This year I got back into reading again and I can definitely notice a difference between the days I read versus the days I don’t. I’ve been making it a goal of mine to read at least a couple of pages every single day.

REVISITING A CHILDHOOD HOBBY

This one ties with the previous point but if you aren’t doing a hobby that you previously did as a child or simply a hobby that you haven’t gravitated towards ever since you were a child then I think it would be good to revisit it now as an adult.

As a child, you might have loved playing videos games or drawing, and revising those games or tools wouldn’t only give you a sense of nostalgia but also joy & contentment. There is a reason why you liked those specific hobbies when you were younger and redoing them will heal your inner child.
