A Few Questions You Should Ask Yourself.

I think it’s important to ask yourself some questions once in a while to figure out how you are doing and especially on how to live a happy & peaceful life. Obviously, you shouldn’t overwhelm yourself with too many questions all at once.

However, as we get older we don’t really have another person to ask us those questions and some of these questions can be way too personal & intrusive to answer them amongst others.

Journaling might be a great tool in this instance but it might not be everyone’s cup of tea and that’s why asking yourself some questions and reflecting on those answers can be valuable. In today’s post, I wanted to share with you a few questions you should ask yourself regularly or at least once in a while. Without further ado, let’s jump into them.

WHO MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF & WHO DOESN’T?

I think this question can be valuable depending on your environment and surrounding because it allows you to figure out if you are with the right people. I know depending on your situation, the answer can be quite tricky because the answer might be the same for both questions but still it allows you to find out who makes you feel good about yourself as a person & who doesn’t, and gives you the opportunity to reflect the reason as to why they make you feel this way.

WHAT WERE YOUR FAVOURITE HOBBIES & ACTIVITIES WHEN YOU WERE YOUNG?

It’s something I mention quite often on my blog and that is to try doing the hobbies and activities you loved doing as a child or teen. There is a reason as to why you loved them in the first place, it could be a hobby to revive your inner child which would give you joy & peace or it could be a passion that could evolve into much more than a hobby. It’s always worth giving it a shot and find out what you were interested in when you were younger.

WHEN DO YOU FEEL THE MOST DRAINED?

Do you feel the most drained after a long day at work or at home? Do you feel drained when you are in a specific place or with a specific person? Do you feel extremely drained depending on a specific situation or overall in general? Asking yourself this question and reflecting on your answer will make you reevaluate the people who you surround yourself but also your day-to-day tasks.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU COMPLIMENTED SOMEONE?

I think one of the best ways to make someone’s day is to put a smile on their face and the truth is it doesn’t really take a lot to do it. Sometimes even a smile can make someone’s day and sharing & spreading kindness is something that should be considered as a normality instead of a rarity.

A sincere compliment could literally mean so much to the other party and the best part about compliments is the fact that they can be given to anybody from your loved ones to strangers and they also don’t have to be long & detailed. However, compliments can go further than you think because when was the last time you complimented yourself about something?

WHAT DO YOU TEND TO WORRY MOST ABOUT?

Last but not least, asking yourself what you tend to worry about can be helpful in so many different ways. We all worry about something, sometimes we worry about so many things all at once but there is always something that’s on the top of the list and that’s what I want you to find out and reflect especially if there is a solution for this worry/problem in question. If there isn’t a solution and it’s a problem that you aren’t in control of then realising that aspect will give you the clarity, relief & reassurance you need to move forward.

  1. These are great questions to ask! The third one I found interesting. My work does drain me. It takes everything I have sometimes. That said, the drain, the tiredness also brings a great satisfaction.

    1. I definitely know what you mean, the feeling you get after having done a good job and gave it your all is very rewarding. It is difficult but also extremely satisfying. Humans are way too complex haha. Thank you so much for reading 😊

  2. Enjoyed reading this post! I’ve been in a season of loss and transition for the past few months, and been struggling to start over. Thank you for these questions, I have some reflecting to do to help me get back on track. 🥰
