3 Ways to Reset When You Are Feeling Overwhelmed.

It’s completely normal to feel down, low and/or overwhelmed, sometimes you experience this feeling due to a situation or season in your life, or sometimes it just happens that you feel this way for no reason at all which is completely normal as well. 

In today’s post, I wanted to share with you some ways on how to reset when you are feeling overwhelmed or down. As always, if you’re interested – keep on reading!

PRIORITISING SILENCE

There are obviously so many things you could do when you are feeling overwhelmed, but there is power in prioritising silence. You are not just stepping away from the things that are overwhelming you, but you are also choosing not to add additional noise in your head. Sometimes, it’s not just the things that surround you that overwhelm you—you possess the ability to overwhelm yourself as well.

TAKING A BREATH 

This relates to the previous point but when you feel this overwhelming surge of emotions, just take a walk to reset everything. Nature has always been the source of comfort for many and there is a good reason for it, so take advantage of it. Not only will it give you an instant sense of calmness but it will also help you gather your thoughts.

SLEEPING IT OFF

This is something I already mentioned in one of my blog posts but sleep has the incredible ability to reset everything once you wake up. Interestingly enough, it’s kind of a combination of the points mentioned above. Sometimes, what you need is simply an activity that turns you off temporarily while allowing you to rest at the same time.
