Little Things In Life To Do To Be Happy.

I would say throughout the years, I’ve shared a lot of things that I do in order to experience small joys in life whether it be reading a book, watching a TV show/movie, playing video games, etc.

Obviously, those things can make you happy if you enjoy them and those things can vary depending on your preferences but in today’s post, I wanted to share with you some small things that you can do in life in order to be happy. Those things might feel insignificant but I truly believe they make a huge difference in the grand scheme of things.

TALKING TO A LOVED ONE

This is something I usually mention in my posts when it comes to happiness & peace but I would often add it as the last point but now more than ever, I’ve realised how important it is that you talk to a loved one in order to experience calm & peace thus happiness. At the end of the day, we all want our existence to be acknowledged, valued and appreciated, it’s only when those things don’t happen that we often feel lonely and numb. Talking to a loved one would not only help you feel recognised but also accepted.

They are your loved ones for a reason. You might even have drifted apart with some of them because of certain circumstance but it doesn’t mean that you can’t get closer with one another or will never be able to ever again. A simple & small message can literally change another person’s day and perspective, don’t think twice to make the first move if your instinct tells you to contact a dear someone. You never know how life changing it can be to you or to that person.

GETTING SOME FRESH AIR

We all go outside but most of the times, there is a specific reason as to why whether it’s to go to work, run errands, go shopping, socialise with people, etc. Those things can be fun but they usually have a purpose & motive behind, you don’t necessarily go outside without a reason but I truly think that getting outside just to get some fresh air is as important and almost therapeutic in a way.

Whether you take a walk in your neighbourhood or to the park, being able to savour your surrounding without thinking about anything is a great way to relax and enjoy the nature. During this time of the year, the weather can be quite cold & rainy which might put you off from it but if you wear the right jacket or coat then it wouldn’t really be a problem.

The Laurel Coat from Lighthouse Clothing is a recent favourite of mine, not only is it lightweight but it’s also extremely soft & comfortable. It’s the perfect coat to wear on chilly days and not to mention the fact that it is 100% nylon which means it’s very durable and this is perfect considering that you are going to use it during the colder season.

EATING SOMETHING WARM & HEALTHY

I cannot stress how important it is to eat something healthy and warm, not only it is good for your health but it also has a soothing effect. When your stomach is full, you feel full. A lot of people find happiness & joy in eating and I cannot argue or disagree with that even though I’m a picky eater myself.

There is really something special and comforting about taking care of yourself and that doesn’t only include the skincare products you use on your skin, the exercises you do but also the food you consume. Maintaining your diet is important but you can also find a healthy balance by enjoying yummy food that you like while it also being healthy.
