I cannot stress how important it is to take care of yourself mentally and physically. When you work excessively for a long period of time, your brain and body will literally shut down completely. You won’t even be able to do the smallest task. With everything that’s going on at the moment, prioritising yourself is more than important.
In today’s post, I wanted to share with you some self-care ideas that you can incorporate into your routine. If you have a day off or are planning to have a relaxing day, you need to do things that truly make you feel happy in order to combat depression, anxiety and stress. Without further ado, let’s jump into the post!
Je ne peux pas souligner à quel point il est important de prendre soin de soi mentalement et physiquement. Lorsque vous travaillez excessivement pendant une longue période, votre cerveau et votre corps se ferment littéralement complètement. Vous ne pourrez même pas faire la moindre tâche. SELF-CARE IDEAS
1 | READ A BOOK
I know not many people enjoy reading but personally to me, it’s my favourite hobby! You don’t necessarily have to read a new book. You can reread your favourite book! Plus, you don’t only have to read books. You can read manga, comics, etc.
Je sais que peu de gens aiment lire mais personnellement pour moi, c’est mon passe-temps préféré! Vous n’êtes pas nécessairement obligé de lire un nouveau livre. Vous pouvez relire votre livre préféré! De plus, vous n’avez pas seulement à lire des livres. Vous pouvez lire des mangas, des bandes dessinées, etc.

2 | EAT YOUR FAVOURITE MEAL OR DESSERT
There is nothing like indulging in your favourite dessert! If you’ve been craving a specific meal for a long time – it’s the perfect time to cook or order it!
Il n’y a rien de tel que de manger votre dessert préféré! Si vous avez envie d’un repas spécifique depuis longtemps, c’est le moment idéal pour le cuisiner ou le commander!

3 | PLAY GAMES
This one is for my gamers! I love playing games whether it’s apps or video games, I really enjoy playing them. I can literally forget what’s happening in the world. Spend a day browsing through the App Store and download all the games that you find interesting & play them!

Passez une journée à parcourir l’App Store et téléchargez tous les jeux que vous trouvez intéressants et jouez-y!

4 | WATCH A MOVIE OR TV SHOW
I think it’s literally the perfect time to watch a movie or catch up on your favourite TV shows. To be honest, I’m not really into TV shows as I’m not patient enough to wait for the next season or episode. On the other hand, I love watching movies and YouTube videos. It’s literally my guilty pleasure!
Je pense que c’est littéralement le moment idéal pour regarder un film ou rattraper vos émissions de télévision préférées. Pour être honnête, je n’aime pas vraiment les émissions de télévision car je ne suis pas assez patiente pour attendre la saison ou l’épisode suivant. D’un autre côté, j’adore regarder des films et des vidéos YouTube.

5 | MEDITATE
This is something I’ve mentioned multiple times on my blog but you have to try meditation! Obviously, if it’s something that doesn’t work for you – you can always try to do exercises, yoga or a physical activity that you love.
C’est quelque chose que j’ai mentionné plusieurs fois sur mon blog mais il faut essayer la méditation! Évidemment, si c’est quelque chose qui ne fonctionne pas pour vous, vous pouvez toujours essayer de faire des exercices, du yoga ou une activité physique que vous aimez.

6 | EXPERIMENT WITH MAKEUP
I know some people prefer to be makeup free on their day off and that’s the same case with me as well. But there is nothing like having fun and playing around with makeup in your free time! You can try different looks, watch tutorials and try them out, etc.
Je sais que certaines personnes préfèrent ne pas se maquiller le jour de leur congé et c’est le même cas avec moi. Mais il n’y a rien de tel que de s’amuser et de jouer avec le maquillage pendant votre temps libre! Vous pouvez essayer différents looks, regarder des tutoriels et les essayer, etc.

7 | PAINT YOUR NAILS
Painting your nails a type of self-care as well! I used to love doing nail art, that’s pretty much the reason why I created this blog in the first place! Although I don’t have as much time & interest to do nail art these days, I love to paint my nails once in a while. It’s a little treat to myself.
Peindre vos ongles est également un type de soins personnels! J’adorais faire du nail art, c’est à peu près la raison pour laquelle j’ai créé ce blog en premier lieu! Bien que je n’ai pas autant de temps et d’intérêt pour faire du nail art ces jours, j’aime peindre mes ongles de temps en temps.

8 | TAKE A HOT BATH
There is nothing like taking a hot bath in the wintertime, it’s literally perfect! But having a bubble bath in the summertime with essential oils is super relaxing as well.
Il n’y a rien de tel que de prendre un bain chaud en hiver, c’est littéralement parfait! Mais prendre un bain moussant en été avec des huiles essentielles est également très relaxant.

9 | FOCUS ON YOUR SKINCARE
Do a face mask, follow your morning & night skincare routine and pamper yourself! Most of the time, people forget to pay attention to their skin. When your skin feels good, you feel good on the inside!
Faites un masque facial, suivez votre routine de soin matin et soir et prenez soin de vous! La plupart du temps, les gens oublient de faire attention à leur peau. Lorsque votre peau est bonne, vous vous sentez bien a l’interieur!

10 | DECORATE YOUR SPACE
Sometimes, switching up and decorating your space makes a huge difference in terms of your mental health. You don’t necessarily have to buy new homeware or decoration pieces, organising your home and changing certain pieces in each room will give the illusion of having a new space.
Parfois, changer et décorer votre espace fait une énorme différence en termes de santé mentale. Vous n’avez pas forcément à acheter de nouveaux articles pour la maison ou de décoration, organiser votre maison et changer certaines pièces dans chaque pièce donnera l’illusion d’avoir un nouvel espace.
