3 Meaningful Intentions to Set This Year.

I have been seeing many people set intentions for the year or sometimes for each month in order to take care of themselves both mentally and physically. I personally like the concept of it, it’s a great way to have a few goals which not only focus on self-care or efficiency but also on fulfilment and well-being.

In today’s post, I wanted to share with you 3 meaningful intentions that you could set this year. They don’t have to be the same but these can give you an idea as to what you can set for yourself. As always, if you are interested – keep on reading!

TAKE TIME TO FIND BEAUTY IN THE SIMPLE MOMENTS

It’s something I’ve mentioned before on my blog but you have to enjoy & focus on the small joys in your life and in order to do that you have to take a break, and find beauty in those simple moments. Mindfulness is much more than being self-aware or being fully present in the moment, it’s also about being able to pause and take a breather.

BE INTENTIONAL WITH YOUR TIME & WORDS

I personally think it’s extremely important that you are intentional with the time you give to others as well as to yourself. If there is one thing that you will never get back is time. Being intentional about your time and the way you choose to spend it will not only benefit you in the present but also in the future.

The same goes with words, do not be afraid to say what you really want to say. At the end of the day, what matters is not the words you said but the way you said them. Another thing worth mentioning is do not view silence as something negative. If you don’t have anything to say then being quiet isn’t something bad at all. Every moment doesn’t have to filled with words in order to be meaningful.

CHOOSE WHAT FEELS GOOD FOR YOU WITHOUT GUILT

As you get older, you realise the things that allow you to move forward and keep pushing through hardships aren’t your accomplishments but your small joys in life. Achieving a goal will feel incredible and rewarding but it won’t make you feel fulfilled if you don’t allow yourself to do things that you enjoy doing.

Not only do they feel good but they also ground you, you have to allow yourself to experience & indulge that joy without any guilt. The things that bring you joy don’t have to bring productivity, efficiency or any type of ‘benefits’ either. The result could be rest, relaxation, peace or joy and that’s already good enough of an answer.

    1. I know right, associating guilt with any of our joys won’t allows us to fully enjoy ourselves into anything we love doing. Thank you so much for reading 😊
