3 Easy & Refreshing Drinks to Try This Summer.

It’s literally the perfect time to concoct a cooling & refreshing beverage since the weather is not only humid but also very warm outside. In today’s post, I wanted to share with you some easy drinks to try during this summertime and hot weather.

These are just concoctions I learnt from trying out different things and by watching videos on social media, please feel free to switch the ingredients or quantities as you see fit. As always, if you’re interested – keep on reading!

STRAWBERRY MILK

If you already have strawberry syrup or strawberry jam at home then this is the perfect recipe to try. But even if you don’t, it’s really easy to create strawberry syrup from scratch. Let’s assume you don’t have either one at home, you will only need fresh strawberries, milk and light evaporated milk or heavy cream depending on your preference, as well as ice cubes, which is optional.

Firstly, add ice cubes in your chosen cup and fill it with milk—I would say around 3/4 cup. You can then add strawberry syrup or jam and mix it all together. If you don’t have these ingredients, no worries you can use the ingredients mentioned above which are strawberries, milk and light evaporated milk or heavy cream to create strawberry foam and add that topping to your drink.

You can very much experiment and have fun with this recipe, you can switch up ingredients and add frothed milk instead or use Greek yoghurt. I would say try to be creative with it and you might be able to find out your favourite drink of the summer.

PASSION FRUIT LEMONADE

You can definitely switch out the main ingredient which is passion fruit to any fruit of your choice. Pick your favourite cup and pour around 1/3 of passion fruit purée which you can either do from scratch or you can buy in store depending on your personal preference. Add ice cubes then fill the cup with sparkling water or mineral water. Some prefer adding a tiny bit of lemon juice or even a slice of lemon but it is completely up to you.

WATERMELON TEA

There is nothing better than a cold brew tea or cold tea and there are so many different options and flavours which can suit your taste. In this instance, I wanted to share watermelon which isn’t complicated nor difficult to make at all.

Add a few chopped pieces of watermelon in your preferred cup and crush them using a masher or even a fork—whatever tool you have available—then add ice cubes and pour your cold brew tea, and that’s pretty much it! Depending on your preference, you can add a slice of lemon as well.
