REFLECTING & LOOKING AT THE BIGGER PICTURE
As I mentioned above, being proud of yourself can allow you to reflect on your actions, words and accomplishments but the same thing works by removing pride out of the equation. You can remove pride out of your life by having the ability to look at the bigger picture which doesn’t only show you all sides and perspectives, but it also allows you to be honest with yourself and not let any impulsive thoughts or emotions dictate your actions.

LISTENING & PROCESSING THE INFORMATION YOU HEAR
Another good way to remove pride from your life is by listening and processing the information you hear which is similar to the previous point but allowing yourself to process other people’s words & actions including your own words in a slow manner will make sure that you don’t misconstrue anything.

RECOGNISING YOUR BLESSINGS & LUXURIES
One of the best ways to remove pride from your life is by recognising the blessings, privileges, opportunities and luxuries you have. When you start recognising the gifts you have, you won’t have time nor effort to spend on anybody else’s life thus think or make any judgement or comment about their lives or yours for that matter.
Obviously, this is something many of us are already aware of, but sometimes it can be hard to apply this notion into our lives, not because we are ungrateful about the things we have, but because it can be difficult to digest and recognise this idea when we are constantly comparing and trying to overcome every obstacle, hardship and insecurity life throws at us.

Good reflective article. I think comparison is often the quiet root of pride, even when we don’t call it that. When I am genuinely aware of what I have been given, there’s simply less room left to measure myself against anyone else. So, recognizing our blessings, I think, is the best way to inculcate gratitude. The more aware we become of what we’ve been given, the less energy we spend comparing ourselves with others.
