The Importance of Dreaming, Both Literally and Figuratively.

As a society we are encouraged to dream, but I would say it only applies to realistic dreams as opposed to any dreams in general. If a dream is impractical, unrealistic or doesn’t have the capacity to be profitable then most often than not it’s discouraged or brushed away but I think dreaming is an essential part of being a human.

In today’s post, I wanted to explore the notion of dreaming and its benefits, both literally and figuratively and why it’s an important aspect of our lives. As always, if you’re interested – keep on reading!

En tant que société on nous encourage à rêver, mais je dirais que cela ne s’applique qu’aux rêves réalistes, et non à tous les rêves en général. Si un rêve est irréalisable, impraticable ou sans potentiel de profit, il est souvent découragé ou abandonné. Pourtant, je pense que rêver est essentiel à l’humanité.

QUALITY OF SLEEP & HOPE

I’m pretty sure this is something you already know but dreaming has a rejuvenating aspect to it. When you dream, you are able to receive good quality of sleep but this goes without saying that it is the same case for hope as well. When we dream, we are able to envision about possibilities which we never would have thought to be possible. The only thing that is able to make us move forward is hope, why not take advantage of the opportunity we do have in our hands?

BEING ABLE TO LOOK AT EVERY ASPECT PROPERLY

We are all able to see things much clearly after a good night sleep and I think the same applies for dreaming as well. As I mentioned previously, when you dream you are able to imagine, envision and think about things in ways you never thought before—which includes endless opportunities, paths and scenarios.

It’s worth noting that many of these dreams have the potential to become reality as well. However, it doesn’t mean that you are only able to see the pros. You have the opportunity to see the cons as well, which makes this much more efficient and practical.

HEALTH IS NOT ONLY PHYSICAL BUT ALSO MENTAL

Dreaming is not only good for your physical health but it’s also good for your mental health. It’s very much a fundamental aspect of ourselves and I think neglecting or avoiding it will only remove the few things that are effortlessly light and heartwarming in our life. So many people are able to hold on to their future due to the concept of dreaming, many people are able to see the light at the end of the tunnel because they haven’t stopped dreaming, and ultimately dreaming never had any negative connotation to it.
