How To Use Pinterest For Your Blog

Most bloggers say they’ve seen a huge difference in terms of traffic because of Pinterest which is the truth in most cases. In my opinion, I wouldn’t consider Pinterest as a social media platform but rather as a search engine. I’ve only been using Pinterest for a couple months now and so far I’ve been loving it!

I want to start off by saying that it doesn’t matter how many followers you’ve on Pinterest. If you’ve loads of followers then good for you but you don’t need to have a huge number followers to increase your blog traffic. The more your pins will be pinned, the more people will check out your blog.

The first step you need to do is to switch your Pinterest account to a business account where you can access more features. You’ve the option to see your stats in terms of how many people have pinned your pin, how many people see them, etc.

Pinterest is all about beautiful pictures and graphics so make sure you create beautiful templates for the blog posts you’re going to share on Pinterest. You don’t need an expensive program to create stunning templates, you can create pretty good ones using free programs as well such as Canva.

Most people forget to add a description under their pin but it’s a crucial step if you want people to find your pins in the first place. Don’t write sentences but add essential keywords that are related to the pin so when people type those keywords in the search bar, your pins will appear.
