Exams are the worst part of school/uni in my opinion so I thought I’d share with you my study tips! These tips were pretty helpful to me so I hope you’ll find them helpful as well, good luck with your exams and if you’re having a stressful time right now then I promise you this will get better!

FIND A STUDY ROUTINE
One of the things that helped me during the exam period was to find a study routine that worked for me. Some people are early birds and like to study very early in the morning whereas other people are night owls and like to study at night.
In addition, studying in an environment that you feel the most comfortable will make sure you’re studying effectively for instance the library, lounge area, home, coffee shop, etc. Don’t forget to turn off any distractions such as your phone when you’re studying!

START TO REVISE EARLY
Usually some people make the mistake of revising one week or a couple of days before an exam which isn’t the best option. I’d recommend to revise as soon as you know the date of the exam, make a schedule and revise little by little. That way, you won’t have to study a lot within a day and you’ll still have time to research and find essential information for your exam.

SUMMARISE ALL YOUR NOTES
Take all your notes and summarise them, this will make sure you’ve all the main information noted. Organise your notes depending on your modules or subjects and write them down on a new page.

COLOUR COORDINATE YOUR NOTES
If one thing has helped me when revising for exams is to make my notes visually appealing, using different markers for different subjects/topics/terms and making them stand out. I’m more likely to remember the information I’ve noted when I colour coordinate them!

GO ABOVE AND BEYOND
Even if you think you’re ready and prepared for your exam, make sure you study extra and do some additional research. If your professors/lecturers have given you PowerPoint templates then make sure you save them and read them.
Find any books or e-books in your library and read them, if you can’t buy or borrow them then search online for free PDF files of those resources. Some professors allow the students to record their lectures in the classroom so you can watch/listen to these recordings.
