One of the questions we ask the most ourselves as a blogger is how to turn your hobby into a business, nowadays pretty much every blogger you encounter is either earning a bit of money on the side or became self-employed with their blogs which is amazing!
However the real question is how to earn money from your blog. I’ve briefly covered on how to monetise your blog in this post and one of the sources to make money from your blog is through sponsored posts. Depending on your analytics and followers, you can definitely make a bit of money on the side, in this post I’m going to share with you on how to get sponsored posts!

J’ai brièvement couvert sur la façon de monétiser votre blog dans ce post et l’une des sources pour gagner de l’argent à partir de votre blog est par le biais de messages sponsorisés. En fonction de vos analyses et de vos followers, vous pouvez certainement faire un peu d’argent sur le côté, dans ce post, je vais partager avec vous sur la façon d’obtenir des messages sponsorisés!

If you want to earn money from your blog then the first step to do is to work on your blog whether it’s your blog content or blog design, make sure it looks professional and you produce quality content rather than posting something just for the sake of it.
Another tip would be to publish blog posts quite regularly, you don’t need to have a strict schedule but at least stick to a routine whether it’s once or thrice a week, brands often like when they see bloggers who are quite serious and consistent with their blogs even in their busy schedule so they can know they can rely on you with a deadline.
The reason why it’s important to focus on your blog is quite self-explanatory, if you want brands to approach you then your blog has to be up to it. Most brands look at the number of followers you have which is quite sad but it doesn’t mean you can’t reach those numbers whether it takes you a month or a year, you’ll get there and will get so many opportunities. The more you post, the more brands will be able to find you and contact you. Most of the time, you might land an offer in your inbox without even looking for one!

La raison pour laquelle il est important de se concentrer sur votre blog est assez explicite, si vous voulez que les marques vous approchent, alors votre blog doit être à la hauteur. La plupart des marques regardent le nombre d’adeptes que vous avez, ce qui est assez triste, mais cela ne signifie pas que vous ne pouvez pas atteindre ces chiffres, que cela vous prend un mois ou une année, vous y arriverez et vous aurez autant d’opportunités. Plus vous postez, plus les marques seront en mesure de vous trouver et de vous contacter. Donc la plupart du temps, vous pourriez obtenir une offre dans votre boîte de réception sans même en chercher une!

I have received sponsored posts through Instagram as well, some brands found my Instagram page, browsed through my blog and then contacted me for sponsored proposals. You can get other opportunities through Instagram as well such as free products and paid Instagram posts so being active and interacting with other accounts on Instagram might bring you some exciting offers!

PR AGENCY
You could obviously contact marketing/PR agencies, their job is to connect bloggers with brands in order to promote their products. Usually they will contact you through their social media manager but there’s nothing wrong contacting them first.
This is something I haven’t done before and I’ve seen many bloggers do it, the reason I haven’t done it yet is because I still want to improve my content and social media platforms (+ I kinda feel shy) but I’d definitely recommend to go for it! The worse that could happen is them rejecting you but you can still work on your blog and contact them back.

C’est quelque chose que je n’ai pas fait auparavant et j’ai vu beaucoup de blogueurs le faire, la raison pour laquelle je ne l’ai pas encore faite est parce que je veux toujours améliorer mon contenu et mes médias sociaux (+ je me sens un peu timide) mais je recommande vivement d’y aller! Le pire qui pourrait arriver est qu’ils vous rejettent, mais vous pouvez toujours travailler sur votre blog et les contacter de retour.

BLOGGER NETWORK
Joining blogger networks is another method to get sponsored content on your blog, they usually have a website where you can enter your information and if any brands are interested then they’ll approach you. The network acts as an intermediary between you and the brands, so far I’ve only joined one program which was ages ago (and the irony is I don’t remember the website).

Great and lovely tips! I’ve always dreamed about getting sponsored posts – but it is quite difficult. However, this post really gave me a better idea on what to do and what to do differently. I would love to get sponsored on my IG however, I feel like a lot of brands judge by the amount of following and not so much how many people their pictures reaches. You know some people have like 10k and ‘only get’ 200 likes on a photo – and I’ve got almost 300 followers and get about 50-60 likes per post…. Oh well, my time will come I guess haha ❤ xxx

Loved this post! I always find it easier to put forth my budget when I brand approaches me as opposed to me contacting them. I’ve not really contacted any on that basis but I’ve realised sending an email and asking to be added to their PR list (and include fees) is a subtler way of doing it.
