I’m pretty sure most of you have been following and know what’s been currently happening and to be honest I don’t really want to talk about that subject. I don’t think I am the right person to be talking about and neither do I have the expertise or knowledge in that subject. But I really wanted to talk about how I’ve been feeling.
The past couple of weeks I’ve been extremely anxious, stressed and nervous about the future. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels that way. I’m worried financially, emotionally, physically – you can name everything on that list! However, it’s also a time to stay calm and it’s literally the only best thing you can do in this situation.
Je suis à peu près sûr que la plupart d’entre vous ont suivi et savent ce qui se passe actuellement et pour être honnête, je ne veux pas vraiment parler de ce sujet. Je ne pense pas que je suis la bonne personne pour parler et je n’ai pas non plus l’expertise ou les connaissances dans ce domaine. Mais je voulais vraiment parler de ce que je ressentais.
Ces dernières semaines, j’ai été extrêmement anxieuse, stressé et nerveuse à propos de l’avenir. Je suis sûr que je ne suis pas la seule à ressentir cela. Je suis inquiete financièrement, émotionnellement, physiquement – vous pouvez tout nommer! Cependant, c’est aussi un temps pour rester calme et c’est littéralement la seule meilleure chose que vous puissiez faire dans cette situation.

EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OKAY
I want to start off by saying that everything is going to be okay. This is something I wish someone would tell me haha! But you’ve come this far in life so you’ll obviously get through this chapter as well.
I know nobody are in control of anything and you don’t really know what the future holds so it’s definitely a tricky situation. But whatever happens know that you can go through anything.
Je veux commencer par dire que tout va bien se passer. C’est quelque chose que j’aimerais que quelqu’un me dise haha! Mais vous êtes allé si loin dans la vie, vous allez donc évidemment passer à travers ce chapitre également.
Je sais que personne ne contrôle quoi que ce soit et vous ne savez pas vraiment ce que l’avenir vous réserve, c’est donc une situation délicate. Mais quoi qu’il arrive, sachez que vous pouvez traverser n’importe quoi.

FOCUS ON SOMETHING ELSE
Try to focus your mind on something else even for a couple of minutes. Do something that you enjoy or love to do no matter how stressful the situation is, it will help you feel a bit more relaxed and help calm your nerves.
Some people forget everything that’s happening to them when watching a film or TV show whilst other people are able to turn off their mind when reading a book. It’s about doing something that you truly enjoy for a short amount of time.
Essayez de concentrer votre esprit sur autre chose, même pendant quelques minutes. Faites quelque chose que vous aimez ou aimez faire, quelle que soit la situation stressante, cela vous aidera à vous sentir un peu plus détendu et à calmer vos nerfs.
Certaines personnes oublient tout ce qui leur arrive en regardant un film ou une émission de télévision tandis que d’autres sont capables d’éteigner leur esprit en lisant un livre. Il s’agit de faire quelque chose que vous aimez vraiment pendant une courte période de temps.

APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVE
When you are in a stressful situation, you only tend to see the negatives but try to see the positive aspect out of it. Even if there is none, be grateful and appreciate what you have right now because it might not be that case for others.
Lorsque vous êtes dans une situation stressante, vous avez seulement tendance à voir les aspects négatifs, mais essayez d’en voir l’aspect positif. Même s’il n’y en a pas, soyez reconnaissant et appréciez ce que vous avez en ce moment car cela pourrait ne pas être le cas pour les autres.

IT’S ONLY TEMPORARY
I’m not going to lie, I hate when others say “stay positive” when everything around you is a mess but whatever your situation is, just know it’s only temporary and you’ll be able to get out of it a couple of weeks or months down the line.
Je ne vais pas mentir, je déteste quand les autres disent “restez positif” quand tout autour de vous est un gâchis mais quelle que soit votre situation, sachez que ce n’est que temporaire et vous pourrez vous en sortir quelques semaines ou des mois plus tard.

I’m wishing you all so much love during this scary and confusing time. I’m trying to forget what’s happening around me by blogging so if you are a blogger, I would recommend doing that if you can otherwise just try to relax and don’t worry about anything. Stay safe ❤

I’ve always been good in emergencies. But with distance, it’s really hard to be there for others. I find that the most frustrating part. I wish the distancing issue wasn’t one of the main parts. It’s good to know that we have people’s hearts with us. Take time to dwell there. It’s good to be concerned for the suffering. But the rest boils down to social distancing, washing hands, and keeping hands away from nose and eyes. All my best to you!

My issues are when the house is quiet. That is when I start to feel dread, I worry about my family, friends and all the goodness in this world.
For me it’s the complete opposite! I feel relaxed when the house is quiet, it’s only when my mind is quiet that my anxiety gets triggered and I start to worry about everything x

These are such great tips and so useful at a time like this! I think keeping busy and doing things you love is a great way to keep going and almost distract your mind. I’ve also found giving myself a limit on how much time I spend consuming social media and the news has helped me in the more recent days. I now have certain times where I allow myself to read it and certain times where I turn off completely. It’s been helping xx
