Everyone goes through ups & downs in their life. Sadness is one of those emotions that pretty much wrecks you inside out and has as much as a physical toll on you, if not more. In today’s post, I wanted to share with you some ways on how to overcome sadness. Note that there isn’t a permanent solution to remedy the wounds in your heart but these things can help you heal them. Without further ado, let’s jump into the post!

Dans le post d’aujourd’hui, je voulais partager avec vous quelques façons de surmonter la tristesse. POURING EVERYTHING OUT
I think it’s important to let everything out when you feel sad about a situation, a person or about something in general. The more you suppress those emotions, the harsher it will take a toll on yourself and when keeping those emotions down becomes a struggle, everything will break down in a harsh way which is technically not ideal because it will drain yourself out. By pouring everything out whether it’s through crying or speaking out, you will feel some weight off your shoulders.
Je pense qu’il est important de tout laisser sortir quand on se sent triste à propos d’une situation, d’une personne ou de quelque chose en général. Plus vous supprimez ces émotions, plus cela vous coûtera cher et lorsque la maîtrise de ces émotions deviendra un combat, tout s’effondrera d’une manière brutale, ce qui n’est techniquement pas idéal car cela vous épuisera. En versant tout, que ce soit en pleurant ou en parlant, vous sentirez un peu de poids sur vos épaules.

FOCUSING ON SOMETHING ELSE
This one is easier to say but can be harder to do when all you want to do is drown in your sadness. However, focusing on something else apart from your worries will help you navigate through this difficult period in your life. It doesn’t necessarily have to be something happy, it can also be about something neutral, something that helps you distract your mind from thinking about any emotions whatsoever for a few minutes or hours.
Celui-ci est plus facile à dire mais peut être plus difficile à faire lorsque tout ce que vous voulez faire est de vous noyer dans votre tristesse. Cependant, vous concentrer sur autre chose que vos soucis vous aidera à traverser cette période difficile de votre vie. Il ne doit pas nécessairement s’agir de quelque chose de joyeux, il peut aussi s’agir de quelque chose de neutre, quelque chose qui vous aide à distraire votre esprit de la pensée de quelque émotion que ce soit pendant quelques minutes ou quelques heures.

FINDING THE ROOT & GETTING CLOSURE
Last but not least, sometimes the only way to remove sadness is to find the root of the issue and get closure from it. If you can resolve the issue in question then try to find the best solution for it. If it’s something you can’t control or something that isn’t in your hands then let it go. Obviously, it’s easier said than done but you have to understand that if you let your sadness consume you, it only result in you draining your time & energy and it will have other repercussions on yourself as well.
Enfin, parfois, la seule façon d’éliminer la tristesse est de trouver la racine du problème et de le résoudre. Si vous pouvez résoudre le problème en question, essayez de trouver la meilleure solution. Si c’est quelque chose que vous ne pouvez pas contrôler ou quelque chose qui n’est pas entre vos mains, laissez tomber. Évidemment, c’est plus facile à dire qu’à faire, mais vous devez comprendre que si vous laissez votre tristesse vous consumer, cela ne fera que vous épuiser votre temps et votre énergie et cela aura également d’autres répercussions sur vous-même.

Sometimes we have closure, but that the door isn’t locked. Something will kick that door open and sadness comes through for a while to be sorted and stored again behind that door.
