It’s no surprise that ever since I started to consider my blog as ‘my job’, I had to prioritise my time and work on my productivity. In this post, I’ve gathered some tips to do in order to have a productive morning whether you’re in school/uni, working or a stay-at-home parent, etc.

SLEEP EARLY
The best tip I could give anyone is to sleep early and to have a good night sleep. I’m sure you already know this but your body needs to rest in order to work efficiently. I try to have at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep otherwise my body won’t function. If you want to have a productive day, make sure to sleep properly. You can even use apps to track how many hours you sleep.

WAKE UP EARLY
This one is pretty obvious, wake up early. If uni/school or work starts at 8am, try to wake up at 6am which I know can be pretty hard if you want to lay a bit longer in your bed. But trust me when you wake up early you can do so much work!

WEAR SOMETHING COMFY
After you’ve woken up and gotten ready, wear something comfy! You can even stay in your pjs if you have time to put on your outfit for the day. If you don’t have that much time, simply wear your outfit of the day because you don’t want to spend time on changing clothes.

WORK ON YOUR ASSIGNMENTS & ESSAYS
After you’ve worn something comfortable, now it’s time to work on your assignments or revise for exams. Note that this is not the time to actually prepare your assignments or revisions, you are either taking this time to do a quick recap or some last minute changes.

HAVE BREAKFAST
In order to have a productive morning, I’d highly recommend to have a healthy breakfast. Even if it’s a quick breakfast, eat something – whether it’s a fruit, bar of cereal, chocolate bar, etc. If you don’t have time to eat at home, go and grab a quick breakfast at the canteen/cafeteria at school/uni.

DO SOME TASKS ON YOUR PHONE
In between this time, whether you’re travelling to your workplace/uni or have any free time – do some work on your phone. I use this time to respond email, comments and check my social media.

HEAD TO THE LIBRARY
I usually go to uni early so I have time to work on my essays and assignments so I head straight to the library. You can use this time to work on your assignments, if you can’t go to the library, do some readings in the lounge area or in the cafeteria before going to classes.

DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU
Last but not least, do what works best for you! These are the things that work for me and I’m very much a morning person but on the other hand, if you are a night owl then incorporate some of these things at night-time. If something doesn’t work for you, don’t force yourself, instead try to do something else and find a routine that works for you.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING!

Completely relate! Getting into a routine and starting EARLY makes a huge difference to my productivity. I always feel like theres never enough hours in the day and I could stay up all night working on my blog etc, so I have to make a conscious effort to tell myself enough is enough and to sleep, otherwise I won’t feel refreshed to work the next day. I’m in awe of your commitment to your studies in the morning and it’s something I try to work on myself, but 100% it’s about finding what works for you and it certainly sounds like you’ve done that! Love your content, very similar vibes to the posts I create on my blog too 🙂 keep it up x
Thank you so much lovely! 💗
Great tips! I completely agree with the getting up early thing, it makes so much difference than if you stay in bed until 10! 😂 I genuinely find I feel more productive when I force myself to get up early. Xx
I know right! ❤️ Thank you love xx
Thank you for these tips! I’m not a morning person but have recently discovered that it’s more productive to work on creative tasks with a fresh mind, in the morning. Still having trouble with procrastination, but it’s getting better xx

I figured out how to sleep and wake up early just recently and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I am just happy I converted from being a night owl to a morning person. There’s just plenty to accomplish when you start the day early!
I know right! I feel so sleepy and tired at night, it’s really hard for me to be productive during the nighttime. Thanks for reading lovely x

I’ve always felt the key to a productive morning was having a routine, and sticking to it. That routine would include many, if not all, of the suggestions you note.

Good advice…
Thank you!
I agree 💯 about going to bed early and waking up early for a more productive day! I’ve actually read that we are supposedly most productive during this time and find it to be true for me, too! Also, libraries are so underrated – they really are amazing places to get work done in peace while still being surrounded by people! ☺️
Reblogged this on .
Thank you ❤️
welcome
These tips were so useful xx
Yes if you can’t sleep early you won’t wake up early hence you’ll go to sleep the next day later than accordingly.
Exactly! 💗
I need to stick to the first 2 tips!! Sometimes I don’t go to bed until 2am!!
I won’t function properly if I don’t get my 8 hours of sleep lol 😅
