{AD} It might be really hard to date during this period whether you started to date someone recently or even if you are in a long-term relationship. I’m pretty sure nobody thought that their love life would be effected by a lockdown, let alone a pandemic!
I really think this a great opportunity to find out if the person you are dating has good intentions towards you or is the right one for you if you are looking for a serious relationship. Obviously if you are not looking for something serious then you do your thing! In today’s post, I wanted to share with you some dating tips that will help you during the quarantine. As always if you are interested – keep on reading!

HAVE VIRTUAL DATES
I don’t think just because you can’t see each other in person means that you can’t go on a date or have a date night, especially with all the technology that’s available right now – it would be such a shame not to take advantage.
You can Facetime (or use Skype or an app if you are an Android user) each other and eat dinner at the same time. You can still create the same vibe! You can even watch a film or TV show together. There are so many creative ways you can do to make this work.

DO SOMETHING THOUGHTFUL
Anyone would appreciate a gift but sending a thoughtful gift to your partner during this period will be much more special and meaningful. Obviously I wouldn’t recommend ordering and buying a ton of items regularly because it’s not really the best choice you could make right now for others and for yourself when social distancing is something that’s important for everyone including for delivery drivers but you can definitely order & buy one or two products/gifts.
Also, it doesn’t have to be super expensive either! It can be flowers, a box of chocolates, something that will instantly brighten up that person’s mood. However I would advise not to do it multiple times and to only do it if you really want to cheer up that special person in your life. The same goes for letters. Some people might think it’s old-school but I’m pretty sure your significant other would love it.
Once again, you will have to go outside to post the letter which is technically not the most ideal situation but if you have to go grocery shopping and the post box is just on the way there, you can definitely take advantage of that! Or you always have emails. I mean they are pretty cool too! You can send thoughtful and creative emails which are great if it’s something you haven’t done before. Even if you had done it before, it will still be fun! Just try to find ways to do something new and thoughtful which will make the other person happy during this difficult time.

CONNECT WITH THAT PERSON
If you are dating or talking to someone through a dating app or website, this is the perfect opportunity to truly connect with that person especially if you still haven’t met each other in person. You can exchange your phone numbers or follow each other on social media and really blossom your relationship.
That’s one of the reasons why dating someone who lives in the same city or town as you would be great in this situation because once the lockdown is over, you will be able to meet each other easily and quickly. For instance if you search online for Belfast dating, you will be able to find so many dating websites such as Mature Belfast Dating.

BE OPEN
I know it’s something that most people already know but listen when your partner is trying to say something and speak if you want to say something. For some people, being apart from the person you love/date is very difficult and it’s important that you reassure them or comfort them. I don’t think anyone will think you are needy if you need constant reassurance especially during a quarantine, if they do I really don’t think that person values you.
You might have a lot on your mind with everything that’s going on and who is the best person to talk to when you want to get everything off your chest? It’s probably your significant other. Don’t feel embarrassed to express yourself. I’m pretty sure that person will know something is troubling you by your face or by the way you talk so be open with each other about everything and anything. Plus you both don’t live under the same roof so it will definitely give you both the time to reflect. Open communication is key in this instance.

I’ve been so impressed reading all the ingenious ways people are finding to virtually date at the moment. It makes me think about old fashioned courtship and romance, which is maybe something good that we can take from lockdown. Lovely post, I really enjoyed this, thank you for sharing xx
